Deep inside the city a medical student named Gary comes back from the dead different--his mind is intact. He can still think and feel. I may come back and adjust my review, but wanted to get the word out there. So many 'recommended' books in the zombie genre are horrible hackish things. I am only a few pages in, but it's clear that this author has an excellent grasp of the language. I hope it continues to be a pleasure to read. UPDATE: after reading, found this to be one of the best in its genre. The author managed to create a novel twist on a genre that is dominated by clichés and poor clones.

Definitely different way to look at zombies. Was not a fan of the way it ended. But a good quick read

a very unique take on those whole zombie apocalypse little walking Dead little dungeon and dragon.

David Wellington is the author of the Monster Trilogy (zombies) and other novels, such as Plague Zone (more zombies) and Frostbite (werewolves), which were also originally serialized online to great success. His novels also include a vampire series published by Random House: Thirteen Bullets, 99 Coffins, and Vampire Zero.
